It’s Time to Figure out What Motivates You!

Change is hard.
Change is scary.
But change is good for us too.

As humans, we are wired to a fear circuit, which means we avoid it. We avoid putting ourselves in situations we are afraid of. If change is one of your fears, you typically avoid it at all costs. Most of us like what we know (which isn’t always a good thing) and we fear the unknown. Because as humans, we are creatures of comfort and habits.

This can be applied to your business finances as well. When you set big goals, you HAVE to figure out what motivates you enough to be willing to step out of your comfort zone. What motivates you to change, to face the unknown, to create new habits and ditch the old ones? Because when things get hard or uncomfortable, it’s easy to fall back into those old habits, that familiar territory, that old comfort zone (whether it’s good for us or not). We need to have strong motivators because we have to be able to remind ourselves what is motivating us for this change. What is motivating us to achieve those big goals we created?

This can take some time to get used to. But I remind myself daily of why I changed my habits and why I took control over my numbers:

So I didn’t have to live paycheck to paycheck.
So I could provide better and do better for my daughters.
So I could stand on my own two feet.
That was my motivation, that’s what was keeping me going.
That’s what pushed me out of my comfort zone and into the unknown.

So, I challenge you to find your motivation and take control of your numbers so they don’t control you. I know for a fact that once you find your motivation, you will make the changes you want, and see the benefits from it.

You can be empowered by your numbers. You can have sassy and sexy numbers too.
